Amedkar Jayanti

A Special assembly was organized at Ashok Vatika Public School on the occasion of Dr.Ambedar Jayanti . Tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar - the architect of the Indian Constitution. 
On Dr.Ambedar jayanti it is important to know his contribution....
* His reputation as a scholar led to his appointment as  India's first law minister, and chairman of committee for drafting the constitution.
* Ambedkar's original name was actually Ambavadekar.
* Ambedkar ji played a key roll in establishment of Reserve Bank of India in 1935.
* The Mahad Satyagraha of 1927 was one of the defining moments in Ambedkar's political thought and action. Held in the small town of Mahad in Maharashtra , this Satyagraha was held three years prior to Gandhi's Dandi  march. While salt was at the  centre  of Gandhi's campaign , drinking water was at the core of Ambedkar crusade. 
* Ambedkar ji changed the working hours in India from 14 hours to 8 hour.

The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. He demonstrated and talked about various important concepts  in a very efficient and gripping manner. The workshop was quite interactive with complete involvement of teachers. Yellow Day celebration

  Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and  observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower  picture in yellow. The students enjoyed fully and got elaborated knowledge about the colour Yellow. #yellowday #sunnyday #colour #colourful
