Ashok Vatika Public School

A special enrollment campaign was organised in the campus of Ashok Vatika Public School under the guidance of the principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan and CO Barendra Kumar of 11 Punjab NCC Battalion. The care taker Mr. Ravi Kumar and Mr. Kunal Sahdev, sports teacher, motivated the young students to join NCC for the betterment of not only their health but for their future also. They inspired the students to be disciplined, dedicated and committed towards becoming  good citizens. The young learners were told about the benefits of the NCC for seeking career opportunities especially in the defence forces. The students of grade 8 and 9 willingly presented their strength to be enrolled for NCC. The principal madam considered it a great opportunity for the students to avail that will make them responsible citizens of India.  

The NCC students of Ashok vatika Public School took part in the initiative of Puneet Sagar and Amrit Sarovar Mission of Government of India. The students took the initiative to clean the New Amritsar canal, a significant water resource under the instructions of Commanding Officer, D.K. Upadhaya, 11 Punjab NCC Battalion. This mission was organized with the encouragement of the principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan. The students were informed about the uses and benefits of traditional water resources by the Lieutenant Engineer Ravi Kumar. They were also told about the importance of water and the need of preserving resources of water.The twenty students cleaned the area near the river and parks around the river. They removed the weeds, overgrown grass and garbage etc. They cleaned the area close to the riverside also.They also formed a human chain to create awareness regarding preserving water for saving the precious human life. Ashok Vatika Public School always strives for the growth and betterment of its students. Aarav Naik, Dharmesh and Gurtaj Singh, students of Ashok Vatika Public School played an active role in a camp organised by NCC Battalion 11 under the command of Colonel Birender Kumar.Organised at I.T.I. Government College, Ram Tirath, the camp was scheduled from 24th September to 3rd October, 2024. During the camp, students were trained and skilfully manoeuvred through various activities. They enthusiastically participated in parades, races, drills and various other activities, through which they learnt the value of games in life. To master the skills of discipline and understand the value of time, they underwent rigorous training. The camp firmly focused on physical training of the students, ensuring their proper diets.
