Baisakhi Celebrations

On the eve of Baisakhi festival, a colourful programme was organized in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School. Students of various classes participated in the programme and displayed rich cultural heritage related to Baisakhi festival. The significance of khalsa Panth was delineated. Different songs and dances concerned with the theme were performed. Giddha and Bhangra on the drum beats were the main attractions of the day where everyone danced and tapped their feet on the beats of the Punjabi music.

The students of Kindergarten dressed in colourful dresses, presented a great look of the festival. The tiny toddlers mesmerized the audience with their enchanting swag and performances. The tag of handsome 'Gabru' and beautiful ' Mutayar ' was given to the deserving students.

The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
