Green Day


Every thing around us is an array of colours. Green colour is the most common colour in the  nature around us.
In order to teach our tiny tots identification,uses of colours in the environment and to help them to develop an understanding of Green colour in many forms , Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated 'Green Day' in the school campus.
All the students came dressed up in different shades of green. Students were taught the identification of green vegetables , leaves,trees and various green coloured objects.To provide sensory experience to our kids exploring this colour, many  games like sort green coloured objects ,find green coloured balloon and pass to your friend and many more , were organised where they learnt with fun.

Workshop for Mathematics Teachers by Dr. Jaswinder Singh

Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. He demonstrated and talked about various important concepts  in a very efficient and gripping manner. The workshop was quite interactive with complete involvement of teachers. The eminent personality gave many  revolutionary and zestful ideas to thwart away the phobias and fears of students associated with the subject . Thumb Printing Activity

Prints with fingers tips and thumb are fun for kids. It is a wonderful sensory experience for them. This messy play stimulates their creativity and imagination and helps them in strengthening finger and hand muscles. Children dipped their fingers in green colour and were asked to make beautiful prints in motify of grapes.
