The live telecast of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha' was shown today to the students of 10th to 12th classes in Ashok Vatika Public School. The students listened and watched the motivational talk of PM Modi in which he highlighted the importance of time management and addresses the issues of stress during exams. On this occasion, the chairman of the school, Mr. Ashish Mahajan and the principal Mrs.Anchal Mahajan welcomed Dr.Harvinder Sandhu, the district president of BJP. They also discussed with students the tips to remain stress free in exams and motivated them to give their best performance. Moreover, an art competition was also conducted on the same theme ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’- Ignite the exam warrior in you’ .The winners of this art competition were Loveleen Kaur, Aarav Malhotra and Manpreet Kaur who got 1st,2nd and 3rd position respectively and were honored by the principal mam for their achievements.

Workshop for Mathematics Teachers by Dr. Jaswinder Singh

Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. He demonstrated and talked about various important concepts in a very efficient and gripping manner. The workshop was quite interactive with complete involvement of teachers. The eminent personality gave many revolutionary and zestful ideas to thwart away the phobias and fears of students associated with the subject . Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
