' Environment Day '



Ashok Vatika Public School observed ' Environment Day ' in its premises. A poster making competition was organised under the aegis of Punjab Pollution Control Board by Er. Anish Sharma (Assistant Environment Engineer) to create awareness among students regarding impact of nefarious human practices on atmosphere. The students prepared eye-catching and meaningful banners discouraging the use of Plastics. The Principal Mrs. Anchal Mahajan encouraged them to plant saplings on the special occasions, as a small gesture of  care  and protection towards environment.

Workshop for Mathematics Teachers by Dr. Jaswinder Singh

Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. He demonstrated and talked about various important concepts  in a very efficient and gripping manner. The workshop was quite interactive with complete involvement of teachers. Yellow Day celebration

  Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and  observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower  picture in yellow.
