Ashok Vatika Public School bagged First Prize in Origami in Mathematics’ competition

Ashok Vatika Public School feels extremely proud and elated to share that our student, Manik Mahajan of grade 5 has brought accolades to the school by winning first position in the ‘Origami in Mathematics’ competition. The competition was organized under ‘ CBSE Hubs of Learning’ program in KV school. Our students Manik Mahajan and Adrija participated in it and showcased their talent of creating wonderful mathematical shapes reflecting subtle art and brought laurels to the school by their accomplishments.

Workshop for Mathematics Teachers by Dr. Jaswinder Singh

Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
