Parkash Utsav of "Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji "

In the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School, the Parkash Utsav of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji was celebrated with much devotion and reverence . The Students sang religious hymns to mark this occasion. They were also told about the compilation of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji and the different stanzas created by a number of Gurus and Saints in it. The whole atmosphere got enthralled with devotional ambience by singing religious hymns.

Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
