Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated its Annual Sports Meet event with great zest and zeal.

To invigorate the spirit of Christmas, Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated its Annual Sports Meet event with great zest and zeal. The event took place in the spacious playground of the school. The Commanding Officer Mr.Romesh Bhatia was the chief guest of the event. The Olympic lamp was ignited by our honourable Physical Education Teacher, Mr.Kunal Sehdev . The Sports Day event commenced with the march past of the four houses-Prithvi,Agni,Jal and Vayu led by the head girl, Loveleen Kaur and the head boy,Harshi Abbi and followed by the Sports Captains, Harmandeep Singh and Shubhreet Kaur. After the march past, the students of the four different houses compete against each other in sports events - like relay races, volleyball, table tennis,long jump and short put. Kindergarten kids too participated in fun games like sack race,lemon spoon race ,etc. Apart from the non- participating students, the parents too cheered for the children.A musical chair game was arranged for the parents also,who had spared their valuable time to encourage their children. Many eatery stalls were arranged by the school for the convenience of the parents and the children. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
