Basant Panchami was celebrated in Ashok Vatika Public School



The festival of Basant Panchami was celebrated in Ashok Vatika Public School with great festive fervor and enthusiasm. The celebrations began with the worshiping of Goddess Saraswati and by paying homage to her with yellow flowers. The students of class one and two participated in this special assembly dedicated to the celebrations of Basant Panchami. A teacher briefed about the importance of this festival that marks the beginning of spring festival and people worship Goddess Saraswati on this day. Goddess Saraswati is known for knowledge, music and art. People wear yellow colour clothes and prepare yellow dishes to mark this occasion.  The students recited number of poems highlighting the significance of the festival. Moreover, a ‘Yellow Food Activity’ was also organised for tiny toddlers who were wearing beautiful yellow colour clothes as a symbol to mark the festivities.  The principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, also wished all the students and faculty members a happy, prosperous and joyful Basant Panchami.

Punjab Day celebrations

Punjab Day was celebrated in the school with elation and jubilation. The students presented  colourful and captivating folk dance performances to add glamour to the event. The backdrop of this historic day was explored and analysed through poetry and diction.
