Seminar on ‘ Substance Abuse in Adolescents’.

A significant seminar was organized by Ashok Vatika Public School with the collaboration of Amandeep Hospitals in the school premises. The topic of the seminar was ‘Substance Abuse in Adolescents’. Ms. Sharda, Sr. Psychologist from Amandeep Hospital, Asr, was the chief speaker to address this issue. She apprised the students about the ill -effects of the substance abuse. She highlighted the various forms of illicit and legal drugs that are effecting the youngsters and how these things alters the thinking process of human beings. The varied factors responsible for it were also talked about and how such substances are impacting the normal life of students putting under intense stress their academic potential as well as their ability to cope up in social life. The principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, also motivated the adolescents to stay away from such mind altering drugs to lead a happy and healthy life.
