Yoga day was celebrated in Ashok Vatika Public School

The greatest wealth is health.” –Virgil. Yoga day was celebrated in Ashok Vatika Public School where students and teachers performed various yoga asanas. As we all know, yoga day is celebrated on every 21st June , this year also the day was celebrated to highlight the importance of healthy life. This year, the theme of yoga day is “Yoga for self and society”. The students did yoga in NCC camp also where they performed certain yoga asanas under the guidance of the instructors of NCC 11 Punjab Battalion. They enjoyed their day and learnt several new asanas to perform regularly. They also shared their efforts of regular yoga practice.The kids of pre – wing section also practiced yoga at their homes with their parents.  Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated environment day in its campus. This day is celebrated on 5 June every year and reminds us about its importance. To mark this day, the faculty members of the school planted number of plants for preserving our environment and for giving the message to put efforts in controlling global warming. The principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, highlighted the importance of growing plants and considered it the most important day. A thought provoking and knowledge enriching two days training session for the professional growth of teachers was held in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School. The main motive of the training session was to update and train the teachers to tackle the recent pedagogical challenges. The principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, welcomed the resource person of this training session- Mr. Vikramjit Singh Rooprai, a famous author, educator and well renowned historian. During this training session a through discussion regarding the problems that teachers confront at the academic front were taken up.
