Ashok Vatika Public School successfully celebrated the ‘Shiksha Saptah’ . As per the guidelines of CBSE, various activities were organised to create awareness regarding it. The different days were devoted to several  activities like on the first day TLM ( Teaching - Learning Material) activity was held. Organising TLM day in the school was actually an excellent experience for students, teachers as well as parents.TLM fair on Posters,  Art work and Jaudai Pitara was organised for the students and parents. The school also arranged an exhibition of working models. Students participated with great zeal. On the second day (FLN day)of this week, the school conducted many activities for literacy and numeracy such as reading activities, formation of numbers, abacus activity, word building and many more … Aids were effectively used and learning outcomes were actually outstanding. As the third day was for sports, organising activities of indigenous games in the school campus was a mesmerizing experience for everyone. Many students were familiar with the games as either they themselves have played these games or seen their seniors playing. The fourth day of the week was meant for Cultural awareness ,Cultural day was a complete colourful day in school. Students participated in many cultural activities such as folk dances, food stalls, cultural skits, quiz, and traditional musical performances. 
The fifth day was for skilling and digital  initiatives.  On the sixth day ( Eco Clubs for Mission Life)of the week, Plant4 Mother drive was conducted under Shiksha Saptah Week . Many students planted saplings accompanying their mothers and shared the pictures with us .Finally, while moving towards the conclusion of ‘Shiksha Sapta’ on the last day (Community involvement day) was organized. The school registered itself on Vidyanjali Portal. A campaign in school was conducted to aware the students about Vidyanjali program and also how society can participate in this educational initiative by government. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. He demonstrated and talked about various important concepts  in a very efficient and gripping manner. The workshop was quite interactive with complete involvement of teachers. Yellow Day celebration

  Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and  observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower  picture in yellow.
