Ashok Vatika Public School conducted an awards ceremony for the merit position holders of session 2023-2024

Under the able guidance of principal Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, Ashok Vatika Public School conducted an awards ceremony for the merit position holders of session 2023-2024. The students who had always made us proud by their consistent hard – work, sincere devotion, and perseverance were awarded for their success. The toppers of grade 10 and 12 came with their parents to attend this ceremony. They were warmly welcomed by the school. On this occasion, the guest of the honour was Colonel Birendra Kumar, commanding officer of 11 Punjab NCC Battalion, Amritsar. He was welcomed by the principal madam with a momentum. The students of grade 6 to 8 also presented an energetic performance of folk music to welcome the guest and the achievers. Then, an excellent semi classical dance performance was also presented by the students of grade 11. After that the guest of the honour and the principal madam awarded the students with the trophies and appreciated their efforts of success. The toppers of grade 10  Manmeet Kaur got 97 % marks, Yakshita got 95.6 % marks and Radika got 92.2% marks were awarded with the trophies of outstanding results . The toppers of grade 12 science Anumeet Kaur got 95 % , Khyati got 93.4% and Rishima got 93.2 % marks, in commerce stream Loveleen Kaur got 92%, Sargundeep Kaur got 87.4% and Krishna Mahajan got 85.8% marks , in arts stream  Sahil Singh got 90% and Harmandeep Singh got 77.8 %. marks and were awarded for the outstanding and excellent results.  Besides the toppers, the students, Anumeet Kaur , Khyati and Avnish have recently made a mark in the NEET and Gauravjeet Singh, Simperpreet Singh cleared JEE exams, were also honoured for their successful performances. 
In their motivational speeches, the guest , Col. Birendra Kumar, and the principal madam, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, inspired the students with their examples and praised the efforts of the teachers and parents behind the success of the students. #awardceremony

The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. He demonstrated and talked about various important concepts  in a very efficient and gripping manner. The workshop was quite interactive with complete involvement of teachers. Yellow Day celebration

  Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and  observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower  picture in yellow. The students enjoyed fully and got elaborated knowledge about the colour Yellow. #yellowday #sunnyday #colour #colourful
