Celebration of 78th Independence Day

On the the eve of 78th independence day, the students of Ashok Vatika Public School paid a revered homage to our nation. The students of grade 5 held a special assembly to celebrate this day. They delivered a speech on the independence day, recited patriotic songs and poems and also displayed a vibrant dance performance. They also presented speeches on the various achievements of India as a country and the progress that we have been achieving. A fancy dress activity of pre wing kids was also organized in which tiny tots assumed different roles from the history and displayed an attractive show.

On this occasion, the principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, welcomed the chief guest S.Sukhminder Singh, an active member of BJP who has been a councilor (three times) from Amritsar North. The chairman, Mr. Ashish Mahajan, the chief guest S.Sukhminder Singh and Mrs. Anchal Mahajan with the faculty members hoisted the tricolour in the school ground and celebrated the independence day with the students. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
