Celebrations of Teachers’ Day at Ashok Vatika Public School.

Teachers’ day was celebrated with much enthusiasm and excitement today in the campus of Ashok Vatika Public School. The day is celebrated in the commemoration of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, 2nd president of India. The students wished their teachers ‘A very Happy Teachers day’ and delivered a speech highlighting the role of their teachers in shaping the future of students. They thanked the teachers for the valuable contribution they are putting in students’ life. The students of grade +2 also presented a play and dedicated it to their teachers. A dance performance was also presented by them. The teachers also enjoyed the day among themselves as the principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, organised a special event for the teachers to have a day out to watch the screening of a film ‘Stree 2’ for all the faculty members. They also enjoyed the delicacies served to them and the whole event proved to be a memorable one for the teachers on this special day. Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
