Mrs. Ritu from Ashok Vatika Public School awarded the best teacher

We are proud to announce that our one of the teachers, Mrs. Ritu Jaitly, from Ashok Vatika Public School is awarded with the best teacher award on the occasion of Amritsar Sahodya’s Teachers’ Day function. This special occasion was held at Cambridge International School on September 7, 2024. Ms. Mahima Gupta was the chief guest and all the prominent members of the Sahodaya committee were present there. Mrs. Ritu Jaitly has been serving the institution for many years and is known for her dedication and passion towards the noble profession of teaching. On reaching the school, she was warmly greeted by the principal, her colleagues and the students of the school for being awarded with the best teacher award. The Principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, congratulated her and praised her sincere efforts of helping and guiding the students well. She also appreciated the efforts of the other teachers also and shared the strategies with them for becoming the successful mentor for the students.

Workshop for Mathematics Teachers by Dr. Jaswinder Singh

Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. He demonstrated and talked about various important concepts in a very efficient and gripping manner. The workshop was quite interactive with complete involvement of teachers. The eminent personality gave many revolutionary and zestful ideas to thwart away the phobias and fears of students associated with the subject . Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
