Another proud moment came for Ashok Vatika Public School,when a student of grade 12 won second position in Taekwondo in the recently held 68th Punjab State Inter- school Games in Pathankot. There were 350 participants in the competition that was held in Cambridge International School, Pathankot. She was proudly welcomed in the school for showing her determination, prowess and consistency for the sport – Taekwondo. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
