Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School today to pay the sincere devotion towards him. Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated in India to mark the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. It is celebrated on 2nd October. The day is also declared as the International Day of Non-Violence. The students of grade 9 participated in various activities to mark this day and to highlight the importance of the day, they delivered a speech on Gandhi ji, enacted a play on his life and philosophy and performed a dance performance, and recited the bhajans of Gandhi ji. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
