A Proud Win for Ashok Vatika Public School.

Ashok Vatika Public School is pleased to announce that our students have brought another achievement to the school. The students took part in the grand Bal Kala Mela 5.0 on 7th December 2024, an inter-school competition with the inspiring theme “Books: The Elixir of Life.” The students from more than 10 esteemed schools of Amritsar, participated and showcased their talent. They took part in the various competitions like Calligraphy, Caricature, Group Dance, Digital Poster Making, Video Composition and many more. Our students won first prize in PowerPoint Presentation competition and second prize in Video Composition competition. Ramanjot Kaur (grade 7) and Jeevika Rana (grade 5) won the first prize in PPT competition. Ayush Kumar Yadav and Vasu Sharma from grade 12 (sci.) got second prize in Video Composition competition. The students brought their winning trophies to the school and got much appreciation from the faculty members and the other students. The students also shared their experience with others. The principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan honoured the students for their success and encouraged the students to do more such efforts and perform well. Workshop for Mathematics Teachers by Dr. Jaswinder Singh

Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. He demonstrated and talked about various important concepts in a very efficient and gripping manner. The workshop was quite interactive with complete involvement of teachers. The eminent personality gave many revolutionary and zestful ideas to thwart away the phobias and fears of students associated with the subject . Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
