Students of Ashok Vatika Public School attended NCC camp.

Ashok Vatika Public School always participates eagerly in different activities important for the holistic development of students. Recently the students participated in one day NCC camp of firing. The camp was held at Guru Teg Bahadur Public School, Amritsar under the able guidance of CO Colonel Birendra Kumar, 11 Punjab NCC battalion. The 31 students of our school participated in this camp and were quite interested to take part in it. They learned the skills of firing and got knowledge about the different rifles. NCC always plays an important role in teaching discipline to the youngsters that is important for them for the all – round development.The principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, praised and also supported the role of such camps in personality development of the students. Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
