The martyrdom day of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was observed in the campus of Ashok Vatika Public School. Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was the ninth Sikh guru who sacrificed his life for the sake of religion and to protect the whole community. To pay revered homage to Guru ji and to remember them, the students devotedly chanted the hymns of Guru Ji and paid their respectful tributes to Guru ji. The speech on the life of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was also given. The main teachings of Guru Ji were also highlighted in the speech. They enchanted the melodious hymns and created a pious atmosphere with the pleasant ‘Shabad Gayan’. The principal madam, in her address, admired the values and the teachings taught by Guru ji and urged the students to follow the path of honesty and truthfulness. Yellow Day celebration

Yellow Day celebration was a full fun day for the Nursery students. The colour yellow which represents happiness , warmth and sun shine was celebrated in a play way letting the students experience yellow colour thoroughly. They had a nature walk and identified yellow colour in natural things ,a display of yellow coloured things ,fruits and vegetables was organized in the classroom and each student got the opportunity to touch and observe them thoroughly. A lemonade drink was prepared and served to all . Children were taught about the importance of the colour. A colouring activity was also done where students coloured sunflower picture in yellow.
