Ashok Vatika Public School organized a workshop under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Anchal Mahajan. The workshop, conducted by CBSE, aimed at enhancing the capacity of teachers to support and improve students’ mental health and overall well-being. The resource persons for the workshop were Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur Oberoi (Principal, Amritsar Public School) and Mrs. Inderpreet Kaur (Principal, Bibi Kaulan Ji Public School), who shared their valuable insights and expertise. The session began with Principal Mrs. Anchal Mahajan warmly welcoming the distinguished guests. Both resource persons led the workshop effectively by sharing their knowledge and experience. They discussed the causes behind the declining mental health of children and suggested practical ways to address these challenges. They emphasized that the current environment is negatively affecting children’s mental strength, making it essential for educators to pay special attention to their well-being. They also highlighted that teachers must take care of their own mental health, as only a mentally healthy teacher can guide students in the right direction. Through various engaging activities, they explained how children today are gradually becoming disconnected from their parents and teachers, which could pose a serious risk to their future. The speakers further stressed that schools must take necessary steps at their level to ensure students’ mental well-being. Teachers actively participated in the workshop by sharing their classroom experiences, discussing the challenges they face, and collectively suggesting solutions.
Overall, the workshop proved to be an enriching and informative experience for everyone involved.
At the end of the session, Principal Mrs. Anchal Mahajan expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the guests. In her concluding address, she emphasized that only through collective effort can such challenges be effectively addressed, which will ultimately benefit the students.
