Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm at Ashok Vatika Public School. On this occasion, a special program was organized under the leadership of the school principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan. The program began with impressive presentations by the students of Class IX. Through their speeches, the students highlighted the life, struggles, and invaluable contribution of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in the making of the Indian Constitution. During the event, students Eknoo Kaur, Dalia, and Khushdaman Kaur also shared their thoughts and presented important insights about the father of the constitution. Mrs. Simran Kaur, a worthy teacher, in her address, elaborated on the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar and their relevance in today’s times. A short skit presented by the students added further meaning to the program, effectively portraying the rights and duties of citizens in a simple and engaging manner. The aim of the skit was to inspire students to become aware and responsible citizens.Towards the end of the program, Principal Mrs. Anchal Mahajan encouraged the students to draw inspiration from the life of Dr. Ambedkar and rise above social evils like caste discrimination to become responsible and ideal citizens. She also emphasized the importance of being aware not only of one’s rights but also of one’s duties.The program concluded on a patriotic note, with students and teachers taking a pledge to follow the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar in their lives. The event proved to be not only informative but also enriching, contributing positively to the overall personality development of the students.
