The students and the faculty members of the school, under the able guidance of the Principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, celebrated the occasion with dedication and resolve. To pay their heartfelt respects to Guru ji, the students enchanted the melodious hymns and created a pious atmosphere with the pleasant Shabad Gayan. The teachers recited ‘Japji Sahib’ followed by Ardass and prayed for the welfare of all. The students of grade +2 served the members and the students with the Parsad. The principal madam, in her address, admired the values one can learn from Guru ji’s life and teachings and urged the students to follow the path of honesty and truthfulness. The day holds a special significance for children. The young students were gifted with chocolates and candies and they danced together on songs to make this day a special one in their memories. They also reverently paid homage to Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary and enjoyed the day with great fun and happiness. In this ceremony, the members of the student council were entitled with different tags of responsibility. The students of grade 11 and 12 displayed their discipline and coordination in the March past. The four houses of the school- Prithvi, Agni, Jal and Vayu took part enthusiastically in the ceremony. They were honoured with the tags of house captain and house prefect. Rishab Mishra (+2 Comm.) is elected as the head boy and Ravneet Kaur (+2 Sci.) as the head girl for the session 2024-2025.Vasu Sharma (+2 Sci.) and Amrit Kaur( +2 Com.) are selected as Sports Captain. A seminar on traffic awareness and domestic violence was organized in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School .

 A seminar on traffic awareness and domestic violence was organized in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School . The seminar was conducted by the Commissionerate of Police, Amritsar. The Principal, Mrs Anchal Mahajan, welcomed the main speakers, Sub- inspector – Mr. Daljit Singh (Traffic Rules) who came to aware the young learners about the rules and regulations related to traffic. The other speakers on the occasion were ASI Jaswant Singh , ASI Kuldeep Singh, and SI Navdeep Singh, Incharge of Saanj Kendra police station. The purpose of the seminar was to aware the teenage riders regarding the rules of underage driving. The students were apprised of different rules and regulations of driving and the police team also told them about the consequences of over speed driving and warn them about the dangers of violation of traffic rules. They discussed in detail about the reasons behind the accidents and the violation of the rule of underage driving which can result in strict imprisonment

The day began with a special assembly marked for the occasion, where students of grade 5 chanted ‘Shabad’ followed by a drama about the victory of goodness over evil. The students of grade 10 and 11 performed a mesmerizing dance performance also. Highlighting the excitement of enjoying Diwali with their friends and teachers, the students presented their skills in decoration. They decorated their classrooms with great pomp and show. Several other competitions were also organised for the students. The students of grade 1st and 2nd   enthusiastically took part in the Candle decoration competition. Another proud moment came for Ashok Vatika Public School,when a student of grade 12 won second position in Taekwondo in the recently held 68th Punjab State Inter- school Games in Pathankot. There were 350 participants in the competition that was held in Cambridge International School, Pathankot. She was proudly welcomed in the school for showing her determination, prowess and consistency for the sport – Taekwondo.
