  The International Day of Yoga-2022 was celebrated in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School. To mark this significant day, the students performed different yoga asanas. On this occasion, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, the Principal, informed the students about the theme of this year’s Yoga Day – that is ‘Yoga for Humanity'. She told that yoga exercises help all to maintain their fitness. The students were also told about the importance of yoga as it improves concentration and helps in relieving stress. The children of Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated Father’s day to express their gratitude and love for their fathers. To mark this special day, they prepared handmade cards with beautiful quotes on father’s day and also gifted these to their fathers. ACTIVITY:- Magic with Colors   To reinforce the children about primary and secondary colors. Colors are everywhere and it is a wonderful experience for children to see how colors mix and form other colors. They know red, yellow, and blue are known as Primary colors,and how they are mixed to make secondary colors. Our little kids enjoyed a lot while doing Primary colors mixing activity.This was an opportunity for exploring color mixing and watching how different colors blend to form other colors. The three primary colors, red, blue and yellow are the minimum number of colors that can be mixed to make the greatest number of other colors or secondary colors. All the children individually mixed the three Primary colors of red, yellow and blue on their   palms to highlight them and understand it better. It was all a beautiful magic for them.To build up their imagination and creativity.

Ashok Vatika Public School, Amritsar celebrated ‘Mother’s Day’with fervour and enthusiasm in the school's precinct to salute all the mothers, their importance in a child's life and the nation as well.  Mothers were specially invited to spend a memorable day filled with activities and fun. Several games were played. Flame-less cooking competition was also organised. Ramp walk by mothers and musical chair stole the show.The students expressed their love and affection for their mothers through various activities like a beautiful dance, vocal song and choreography by the students.  The venue was aptly decorated in keeping with the theme. Attractive boards displaying the creativity of children were also displayed.     Special letters activity The Alphabet is made up of 36 letters, 5 of which are special (vowels) and rest of which are consonants. Students of class  UKG learnt the concept of special letters in an interesting  way during class. The responsibility of a school never gets over with just good pass percentage of students, it lies in providing them a right direction to help them choose an appropriate career in their life. A seminar on career counselling was organised in Ashok Vatika Public School to provide the right guidance to the outgoing students of 10th class. On this occasion, Mrs.Rohini Arora, educational consultant, guided the students about the different streams available to them after 10th and 12th class. She highlighted that modern age is quite competitive and the young generation has various fields to make their career. But sometimes, this vastness of streams creates confusion. So, they were informed about the importance of careful planning while selecting a specific career. They were also motivated to do hard work with persistence to fulfill their dreams.     The martyrdom day of Sri Guru Arjan  Dev ji was commemorated in Ashok Vatika Public School under the able guidance of principal Mrs. Anchal Mahajan. The students sung hymns of Guru ji on this occasion. A play highlighting the tortures of Mughals was also presented by them.  They also displayed the teachings of Guru ji on placards.                                                                                       Hand printing activity done by class Nursery and L.kg. Under the supervision of their respective teachers, the students painted their hands in various colourful paint and imprinted their palms on a chart paper. The hand prints were then cut in different shapes.

 

 

 

Every thing around us is an array of colours. Green colour is the most common colour in the  nature around us. In order to teach our tiny tots identification,uses of colours in the environment and to help them to develop an understanding of Green colour in many forms , Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated 'Green Day' in the school campus. All the students came dressed up in different shades of green. Students were taught the identification of green vegetables , leaves,trees and various green coloured objects.To provide sensory experience to our kids exploring this colour, many  games like sort green coloured objects ,find green coloured balloon and pass to your friend and many more , were organised where they learnt with fun.
