Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated republic day with great fervor and enthusiasm today. While celebrating this day, various activities like speech, ramp walk and recitation etc. were organized to mark the national festival. A speech was delivered on the importance of republic day . The day is special for us as on this day, 26 January 1950, our constitution was implemented. The students of grade 3 presented the greetings culture of different Indian states through a ramp walk to highlight the cultural diversity of India. The students also recited  the preamble of Indian constitution and they were told about that the preamble is a spirit of Indian constitution. The preamble means an introduction to the Indian constitution which secures justice, liberty and equality to all the citizens of India and promotes the fraternity among all the citizens. Ashok Vatika Public School witnessed one more proud achievement when our promising student of +2  grade Damanpreet Kaur got honored by Sahodaya School Complex. On the occasion of children's day celebration at Cambridge International School, the students from different schools were awarded with the Gem of Sahodaya award in the field of academics and co- curricular activities. Damanpreet was awarded with this award for her sincerity and consistent hard work. She received the award from the honourable chief guest, Mr. Ajay Gupta, M.L.A., Amritsar Central. He praised the award-winning students for their success and persuaded them through his speech about the great deeds of four Sahibzadas. The winners were on the seventh sky after receiving their awards. The achievement brought moments of happiness among the faculty members and the students as well as the parents of the students. Ashok Vatika Public School commemorated Parkash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji in its premises.The students recited melodious shabad in the glory of the divine. A speech was given portraying his biography. The  Principal Mrs Anchal Mahajan motivated the students to follow the virtues of heroism,truth, fearlessness and sacrifice as illustrated by Guruji in his life sketch.
