Our school believes that it is very important for children to understand about different religions and cultures. Pre-wing students were recently taken to Gurudwara to accustom them to start praying at an early age, seek the blessings of the Almighty and aquaint them with the significance of such holy places. The tiny tots were very excited about this new experience. They followed the procedure and accordingly covered their heads, washed their hands and feet before entering the Gurudwara. The martyrdom day of Shri Guru Arjan  Dev ji was commemorated in Ashok Vatika Public School under the able guidance of principal Mrs. Anchal Mahajan.                               Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated Mother's Day with great festive fervor. The mothers of the students from grade 1 to 3 were cordially invited. They graced the occasion with impeccable charm , decency and jubilation. The little munchkins emoted their affection and care for their mammas through scintillating dance performances and an intriguing role-play. The arrangements were also made to make the day more enthralling by  organizing games for them. It was really pleasant to see them grooving on the melodies. Ashok Vatika Public School organized a very engaging and rewarding 'workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Jaswinder Singh, who is quite well known for popularizing science and Mathematics among students and teachers through various ingenious and novel ways. He is the recipient of awards such as “Shiksha Ratan”, National Award by Honourable President of India, Multi-Gyan Peeth Purskaar and many more. Dr. Jaswinder Singh gave an insight on the basic concepts of Mathematics in a very creative and brilliant manner. He demonstrated and talked about various important concepts  in a very efficient and gripping manner. The workshop was quite interactive with complete involvement of teachers. The eminent personality gave many  revolutionary and zestful ideas to thwart away the phobias and fears of students associated with the subject .   The students of grade 7 were taken for a visit to FM Radio .The charismatic  host RJ Akshita greeted them with great affection and fervour and acquainted  them with the technical  methodology,which is  followed for the transmission of various FM channels. A one-day camp of NCC was organised today at school campus for the enrollment of new cadets in NCC. On this occasion, Commanding Officers of 11 Punjab Battalion , NCC , Amritsar,  visited the school premises.The aspiring students were delineated about the merits of joining NCC.
