The festival of Basant Panchami was celebrated in Ashok Vatika Public School with great festive fervor and enthusiasm. The celebrations began with the worshiping of Goddess Saraswati and by paying homage to her with yellow flowers. The students of class one and two participated in this special assembly dedicated to the celebrations of Basant Panchami. A teacher briefed about the importance of this festival that marks the beginning of spring festival and people worship Goddess Saraswati on this day. Goddess Saraswati is known for knowledge, music and art. People wear yellow colour clothes and prepare yellow dishes to mark this occasion.  The students recited number of poems highlighting the significance of the festival. A farewell party was organised in the campus of Ashok Vatika Public School to bid adieu to the students of 10+2 class of session 2023-2024. The students of +1 class and teachers welcomed the students of +2 and presented a speech and welcome song. They organised multiple fun games for their seniors and awarded the winners with prizes. They also performed numerous cultural items on songs. The students and teachers came in colourful and decorative dresses to be a part of this function. They were judged with different titles on the basis of their performances in ramp walk, as Mr. Handsome -Prabandeep Singh, Miss Elegant Aditi, Miss Scientitia Anumeet Kaur, Mr.Ashok Vatika – Krishna Mahajan and Miss Ashok Vatika -Loveleen Kaur. It is a matter of great pride that a student of grade 1, Pihu Mahajan, has achieved the first position in SOF exam of lnternational English Olympiad that was held in September- November 2023. She has scored 244th  rank at the international level, 206th  rank at the district level, 130th rank at the zonal level and first rank in the school. Displaying her top performance, she brought fame to school and her parents. Her success has also encouraged the other students of the school.  The principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan ,congratulated and honoured her for her success and motivated the other students also to achieve more heights in their life. She also appreciated the efforts and hard work of the staff members for guiding the students so well.   

 

With the supreme grace of the Almighty, Ashok Vatika Public School came up with its annual programme  of  Bhajan - Sandhya in the holy premises of Model Town Temple to  seek the kind blessings of the deity. Our music choir along with teachers, students and members of the management  paid obeisance and expressed devotion by singing  melodious bhajans in the glory of the deity and presenting beautiful performances to sparkle the event.To mention a few, the performances celebrating the inauguration of the temple of Shri Ramji at Ayodhya were highly appreciated and the acts signifying the resplendence of  krishna-bhakti and Hanuman chalisa were really spell binding and enthralling. The entire sangat was immersed in the ocean of spirituality. The Principal Mrs.Anchal Mahajan and the Chairman Mr.Ashish Mahajan prayed for the bright future of the students. The holy langar was offered to the devotees as prasad invoking the blessings of the God.
