Another proud moment came for Ashok Vatika Public School,when a student of grade 12 won second position in Taekwondo in the recently held 68th Punjab State Inter- school Games in Pathankot. There were 350 participants in the competition that was held in Cambridge International School, Pathankot. She was proudly welcomed in the school for showing her determination, prowess and consistency for the sport – Taekwondo. Ashok Vatika Public School observed the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Ramdas Ji today with much devotion and reverence. The students of grade 8 presented a speech highlighting the life of Guru Ji. They also chanted melodious hymns of Guru Ji and filled the surroundings with serenity and devotion. A student also recited a poem praising the great deeds of Guru Ji. The festival of Dussehra was celebrated in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School with excitement and enthusiasm. Dusshera is one of the important  festivals of Indians which marks the triumph of goodness over evil. Every year it is celebrated after Navratri and twenty days ahead of Diwali. On this occasion, the victory of Lord Rama is celebrated over Ravana. To mark this day, the students of grade 11 presented a speech highlighting its significance and also enacted a play depicting the theme of this festival. The students through their play gave a beautiful message of controlling our vices and becoming good individuals in the society. The Principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan, delivered a speech insisting that all should be fair in their dealings and honest towards their parents and the teachers. Ashok Vatika Public School always strives for the growth and betterment of its students. Aarav Naik, Dharmesh and Gurtaj Singh, students of Ashok Vatika Public School played an active role in a camp organised by NCC Battalion 11 under the command of Colonel Birender Kumar.Organised at I.T.I. Government College, Ram Tirath, the camp was scheduled from 24th September to 3rd October, 2024. During the camp, students were trained and skilfully manoeuvred through various activities. They enthusiastically participated in parades, races, drills and various other activities, through which they learnt the value of games in life. To master the skills of discipline and understand the value of time, they underwent rigorous training. The camp firmly focused on physical training of the students, ensuring their proper diets. An Indian author, heritage activist and educator, Vikramjit Singh Rooprai, shared various insights from his journey with both learners and educators, showcasing his exceptional knowledge. Our honorable Principal, Mrs. Anchal Mahajan extended a warm welcome to the guest, presenting him with a bouquet. In this three-day workshop, Vikramjit Singh Rooprai addressed the various difficulties faced by staff and  he addressed the facilitators and conscientiously listened to the hindrances in their path to teaching and provided them with efficient solutions. He conducted various activities with the teachers which could help them understand their students better and make the classrooms more engaging. As a historian, he showed an intriguing way to learn history through a pack of cards.

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School today to pay the sincere devotion towards him. Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated in India to mark the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. It is celebrated on 2nd October. The day is also declared as the International Day of Non-Violence.  The students of grade 9 participated in various activities to mark this day and to highlight the importance of the day, they delivered a speech on Gandhi ji, enacted a play on his life and philosophy and performed a dance performance, and recited the bhajans of Gandhi ji.
