To invigorate the spirit of Christmas, Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated its Annual Sports Meet event with great zest and zeal. The event took place in the spacious playground of the school. The Commanding Officer Mr.Romesh Bhatia was the chief guest of the event. The Olympic lamp was ignited by our honourable Physical Education Teacher, Mr.Kunal Sehdev . The Sports Day event commenced with the march past of the four houses-Prithvi,Agni,Jal and Vayu led by the head girl, Loveleen Kaur and the head boy,Harshi Abbi and followed by the Sports Captains, Harmandeep Singh and Shubhreet Kaur. After the march past, the students of the four different houses compete against each other in sports events - like relay races, volleyball, table tennis,long jump and short put. Under the able guidance of the principal, Mrs Anchal Mahajan, the commemoration of Veer Bal Diwas was held in the premises of Ashok Vatika Public School. A special assembly was held to pay revered homage to the supreme sacrifice of younger Sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. They sacrificed their lives fighting for religion and country. On this occasion, the students were informed about the pious life and the great sacrifice of Sahibzadas. The students commemorated their contribution to the religion and the country by singing religious hymns with much devotion and reverence. The students also took part in an online live address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Veer Bal Diwas. They were also shown the movie of ‘Chaar Sahibzadas’.The principal ma’am also motivated the young children to connect themselves with their faith and instil in them the virtues of resilience, courage and love.  

 

The starting point of all achievement is desire. If one has the desire to succeed, one surely will. Keeping this in mind and to boost the morale of the students, Ashok Vatika Public School held Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony in the school premises. It was the time to applaud and reward the students for their sincere efforts during the previous academic sessions. The students who proved their mettle in sports activities under various competitions were also honoured for their brilliance. The ceremony commenced by invoking God's blessings.The awards, trophies and certificates were conferred upon the well deserving Vatikans by the honourable Commanding Officer of ITBP Mr.Romesh Bhatia , Principal Mrs.Anchal Mahajan, Chairman Mr.Ashish Mahajan and the other members of the management. Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated Christmas Day with much enthusiasm and great excitement. The students were told about the significance of the day and the life and teachings of Lord Jesus Christ. They were made known about the life of Santa Claus also. The tiny toddlers from class one to three performed dances on the Christmas theme to mark the day. Dressed up as little Santa Claus, they fascinated the viewers with their performances and vibrancy. They were also given the gifts in the Christmas party. The School commemorated the  Martyrdom Day of  Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, the ninth guru of Sikhs. The great sacrifices made by the saint for the welfare of the mankind and humanity were elucidated. The various anecdotes from his biography were narrated  setting examples of an ideal and righteous life. The kids of kindergarten and classes till 3rd enjoyed the fun trip by participating in numerous indoor fun games and enjoyment activities. They also  got the opportunity to enjoy an activity of marketing of fruits and vegetables and devoured various eatables and delicacies. Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated "Fit India school week", a flagship programme initiated under the aegis of CBSE to acquaint and aware the  pupils about the merits of implementing fitness goals . The school  conducted various activities to follow the project in spirit like poster making, fitness assessment through Fit India Mobile App and fitness pledge by teachers and students to ceremonialize the initiative. Everyone participated in it with great enthusiasm and exhilaration.The entire staff along with students was delienated about the significance of stress buster activities of yoga and meditation, in the contemporary world. Ashok Vatika Public School celebrated the Constitution Day in its premises to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India. Remembering this day, the students of class 9th, Kashvi and Saumya, presented speeches in the school assembly. There were different activities organized to mark this day. The students were told about the  making of the constitution and its importance. They were also persuaded to participate in an online quiz by the government of India. A Poster making competition was also organized for the students. They drew several posters highlighting the main features of our constitution. At the end, the students also took an oath of being abided by the constitution and to follow the rule of law written in it.
